Q. Is it possible to track my pet real time?
A. No, it’s not. Our product was developed with both safety and battery elimination in mind. That said, there is no active GPS tracking included. This means that you can use SPOT in a variety of circumstances without having to worry about the device being low on battery. We have integrated a scanning technology so as to still be able to convey a detailed profile and location of your pet.
Q. Can a used SPOT tag be linked to my other pet’s profile?
A. Sure, you can. The process is very simple. You just need to unlink this used SPOT tag from the original profile, and then simply link it to a new one. Easy peasy.
Q. I have several collars for my pet. Will I be able to link more than one tag to the same profile?
A. Of course! One good thing about our tag is that there is no limit when it comes to the number of tag ID products that you can use. Just follow the User Guide if you need to link more SPOT ID to the profile of your pet.
Q. Is the tag waterproof?
A. Yes to that! But please do take note that it’s best to rinse the tag with fresh water in case the tag just got wet or exposed from sea water. You have to rinse off the sea water from the tag.
Q. Where do I go if I want to view last scanned locations?
A. First, you’ll have to go to the ‘Badge Profile’ page. Once you’re there, simply tap on the ‘Last Scanned Locations’ section.
Q. How do I scan the SPOT tag ID if I want to link it to my android phone?
A. First, you have to make sure that the app is permitted to access the camera of your Android or iPhone. Go to Settings, then Application, Application Manager, Pet Widget, Permissions.
As for the last time, the camera toggle should be switched ON.
Q. I’m having trouble linking my SPOT tag. How do I go about this?
A. If you’re having this kind of problem, please do not panic. We need to know the exact situation so we can better assess the problem. Please provide a detailed information and message us on Facebook or Instagram.
Q. Will a rescuer need the Pet Widget App when scanning a SPOT tag of a lost pet?
A. Nope. A SPOT tag profile can be retrieved using any smartphone available. You can do this easily by using a web browser or via the QR code.
Q. Will there be a subscription fee to continue enjoying this service?
No! Upon purchasing this product, there will be no additional or extra charges to pay for. No need to worry about shelling out more money after your purchase.
*Please note that SPOT is powered by Pet Widget so you will have to download the app from your Google Play or App Store to be able to set up your Pet’s profile and link the SPOT Tag ID.
